I guarantee that Gigi's Cupcakes will make you ask: Magnolia who? Thanks to the camera work of Stephanie Goralnick, some nice copy by Jenny Eggers, a logo by me and a fair amount of 100% magenta and 100% black, Gigi's Cupcakes is a pretty clean system in a mostly frilly world.

 
I saw the word “PARIS” drawn by Neville Brody in a mid-80s issue of The Face and decided to create the whole alphabet. Since only 5 characters existed (that I was aware of), the entire alphabet used a tight set of rules that determined their form. Full upper and lower case character sets included all punctuation and extras. Also created heavy and light weight versions.
